Getting married at Longview!?
What I've learned It is hard to find a more picturesque spot for a ceremony, the backdrop is just gorgeous. The sunset over the hill never disappoints, you can shoot multiple scenes at sunset which is rare because typically you don’t have much time, whether you want the ‘top of the hill’ shot between the trees, the ‘cute driveway walk’ down towards the venue or the ‘romantic vineyard’ shot - It’s all there!
Fun facts
Longview Vineyard is the most-filmed venue for me by a clear margin, next is the Manor in Basket Range & Howard Vineyard then Sunnybrae Estate followed by Lot 100 and Glen Ewin Estate.
9 of the 10 weddings were between December and April - Only 1 winter wedding in August, 2022.

Longview Vineyard has 21 rooms across 6 properties on site to accommodate family and friends.
Longview is 45 minutes from the Adelaide CBD and caters to 180 guests in the Heritage Barn.

Sunset at Longview
Sunset is the bit couples forget to plan for. Here's when the light goes, so you can build your run sheet around it.
October — 7:28pm, golden hour from 6:45pm
November — 7:57pm, golden hour from 7:10pm
December — 8:24pm, golden hour from 7:40pm
January — 8:31pm, golden hour from 7:45pm
February — 8:09pm, golden hour from 7:25pm
March — 7:33pm, golden hour from 6:50pm
April — 7:08pm before daylight saving ends, 6:07pm after
A February ceremony at 4pm puts your sunset session around 7:25pm, which usually lands mid-reception. Build a 15 minute break into the run sheet and you'll get the best shots of the day. In winter sunset is closer to 5:15pm, so we typically do the vineyard shots straight after the ceremony.
Daylight saving is the thing that catches people out. It starts on the first Sunday in October and ends on the first Sunday in April, and sunset jumps or drops a full hour overnight. If your date is the weekend either side of one of those Sundays, ask me and I'll check it for you. These times are calculated for the middle of each month.
